The sea rarely moves in a straight line.
It circles. Returns. Pulls away and comes back again.
While creating “Obsidian Tides”, I found myself drawn to these repeating patterns. The spirals began to emerge naturally, echoing the movement of water gathering strength beneath the surface.
There is something reassuring about the tide's certainty. It does not rush, compete, or demand attention. Yet over time, it shapes coastlines, smooths stone, and leaves its mark on everything it touches.
Built shell by shell, “Obsidian Tides” is a reflection of that quiet persistence—a reminder that lasting change often comes through steady movement rather than force.
Together with “Midnight Tides”, it forms part of an exploration into rhythm, return, and the enduring power of the sea.
