By accessing and using Dana Shell Art’s website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before using the site or placing an order.

1. About Our Work

All artworks are original and handmade using natural seashells. Variations, textures, and imperfections are part of their natural beauty and not considered defects.

We offer both ready-to-ship items and custom commissions.

2. Orders and Payments

Orders must be paid in full before production or shipping. All prices are listed in Euros (€). We reserve the right to update prices at any time without prior notice.

Original artworks include all pieces available in the shop that are not commissioned. These are handcrafted and ship as-is. Once an order has been shipped, the sale is final—no returns, exchanges, or refunds will be issued for change of mind.

Each listing includes detailed descriptions, sizing, and high-quality images. If you would like more images or a video before purchasing, Dana is happy to provide them upon request—please email us before placing your order.

Rejecting the delivery of an order does not entitle you to a refund. As per the Shipping Policy, all duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.

3. Commission Process

Custom commissions involve a design approval process. Once the design is approved, further changes can be made against of an additional fee. Commissions are non-refundable.

Custom orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order. After this period, refunds are not accepted, especially once Dana has begun selecting and composing your piece.

Throughout the creation process, Dana keeps in close contact via email and sends multiple photos to ensure you’re satisfied at each stage. Once the final sealant / varnish is applied, no changes or additions can be made.

Rejecting a custom order upon delivery does not entitle you to a refund or reimbursement. Please review our Shipping Policy regarding duties, taxes, and customer responsibilities.

4. Shipping and Delivery

- All orders are shipped from Portugal with insured shipping.

- We are not responsible for damage or loss that occurs during transport.

- Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

5. Returns and Refunds

- We accept returns only if the artwork is unused, in its original packaging, and returned in perfect condition.

- Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.

- Custom commissions are non-refundable.

If you receive a damaged item, please email us within 48 hours with photos of the item and packaging.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All content and images on this website are the property of Dana Shell Art. Reproducing or using them without written permission is strictly prohibited.

All rights to the artwork remain the sole property of Dana, even after purchase. This includes original artworks, commissions, and any other current or future reproductions of any kind. Purchasing a piece does not grant the customer permission to reproduce and/or distribute copies of the artwork for profit.

All designs, text, images, and other content on this website are the exclusive property of Dana Shell Art and protected by copyright law.

If you wish to use any part of this website’s content for personal, commercial, or promotional purposes, please request permission by contacting us at:

We welcome collaboration inquiries, licensing requests, and other legitimate uses. Please provide details about your intended use, and we will respond as quickly as possible.

Unauthorized use without prior permission is strictly prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability

Dana Shell Art is not liable for any damage to a piece once it is in the possession of the customer. This includes, but is not limited to, improper installation, dropping, scratching, staining, discoloration due to exposure to sunlight, or any other form of mishandling.

Each piece is intended for decorative use and should be displayed away from direct sunlight and humidity to preserve its natural materials.

Dana Shell Art is also not responsible for any damage caused during shipment. All artworks are carefully packaged and insured for delivery, but once they are in transit, responsibility lies with the shipping carrier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of the packaging and artwork. We will do our best to help find a resolution.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes shall be handled by the courts in Portugal.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted here and are effective immediately.
